I took taekwondo as a kid, too, and the teacher was one of the few sources of confidence in my life at the time. I was the fat kid that always got picked last and made fun of in gym class, but my taekwondo teacher would always make me feel like not only was my best worth something, but that I could break through my limits. It could have been really small, things, too, like him commenting on how I was sweating more than everyone else, which meant I was working twice as hard as everyone else. It makes me happy that these kids have such a good mentor to lead them in the right direction, too.
