You’ve probably heard the popular warning that popping your knuckles causes arthritis. One guy decided that he wanted to check these claims himself. For 60 years, he popped the knuckles in one hand but not the other.
After six decades of study, he finally announced his results. Though he determined that his arthritis was no worse in one hand than the other, however, some medical research disagrees. According to some studies, cracking your knuckles may cause swollen hands and other health issues. Because no follow up study was ever done, no one can be 100% sure that the study results were accurate.
When it comes to cracking your knuckles, it’s probably best to avoid the habit altogether. Even if it doesn’t cause physical harm, it still annoys the heck out of your friends and family members.
