A Lion cub loves his caretaker

This guy isn't your average lion caretaker. He's one of, if not the most capable lion caretaker around. He understands them to an amazing degree. A female lioness at one point went so far as to offer him one of her cubs. This is outstanding as lionesses don't typically even let other pack members anywhere near her little ones, and she was cool with him handling them. Of course there's always a chance he could end up mauled, but I'd say the odds of it happening to *him* aren't all that high.

    > You make all these excuses No excuses at all.. he murdered a woman, fuck him. > He shot and killed an innocent woman over a robbery Nah, there was no robbery. He found a gun and shot at a sea lion, a bullet ricocheted off the pavement and hit Kate in the back which killed her. > You're here illegally with a criminal record? Bye. It's never that easy. It's probably obvious that I'm largely ok with sanctuary cities but even if we were to get rid of them, there is still a ton of expense in deporting people. Legal rights extend to everyone, so there are many procedural delays that will necessitate holding them for long periods. Immigration courts are already overloaded so you'd have to dramatically increase their funding to handle the wave of deportations. Immigrants often have families so you need to figure out whether or not you're going to be deporting someone who's caring for others. Many have children that were born in the US (aka US Citizens) so you have to figure out if you're going to deport a US Citizens' caretaker. Then there's the direct expense of deporting people. Roughly half of the illegal immigrants in the US are Mexican, so sure, bus them to the border -- but Mexico isn't going to allow random bus fulls of people without papers to just enter their country. There will be processing on their side too. For the non-Mexicans, you're going to have to fly them home. Are you planning on paying for 500,000 plane tickets for El Salvadorians? How do you convince their government that they should take these people, many of whom who do not have papers? It's a logistical disaster.

Elliott reached out and gripped Devin's shirt as he was caught, his breathing laboured as he stifled a laugh. For what it was worth, the Auror In Training seemed in quite good spirits as Devin checked his pulse. "Help won't come." He said, wincing as he tried to drag himself up into a sitting position, watching the caretaker cast his spells. He didn't seem at all surprised that the man's patronus was a lion. It suited him. "And our brooms are screwed." He coughed hard, his lungs burning as the potion began to wear off. He wiped his eyes and offered a hand. "Give me an arm and we'll just hoof it. It's the quickest way back."

I wrote lengthy responses to multiple points of yours. Though I decided to delete most of it, there's some bullet points below that I believed were necessary.   >**Somehow I don't think this is good advice if you're, say, working in a nuclear missile silo. Or an infectious disease lab. Or even if you're just a caretaker for people who get really annoying sometimes. 'Cause some choices are bad. Some choices unambiguously, completely fuck things over. And some choices that are bad are desirable.**   You have to take it with a grain of salt. This advice isn't geared towards irrational people who would make brash decisions that lead to negativity. You're more so advised to not worry about the decisions that won't absolutely ruin your life. Ignorant folks don't tend to look for enlightenment either..   >**You ever been driving along, and you see those other cars zooming along in the other lane, heading toward you head on and only barely missing, separated by the arbitrary two dimensional image of a double yellow line in the asphault? You ever ponder that and think to yourself, "All I need to do is pull the wheel ever so slightly to one direction, and so many people will die" and find a strange appeal in the idea? You ever look over a cliff and want to jump, look in a lion's cage and want to climb in? It isn't even really truly suicidal ideation, it's just like, a niggling curiosity in the back of your head, a knowledge that you have this terrifying freedom, a pull to make a terrible decision.**   Yes, and it's called "L’appel du vide" or "Call of the Abyss." Try taking a Vitamin D supplement every day. Takes a few weeks, but honestly my own "L’appel du vide" has quieted down. I believe an intelligent and active mind puts these thoughts into our heads during moments it finds dull. At least that's how mine seem to operate.   [From Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/L%27appel_du_vide); L’appel du vide, literally "the call of the void" is a French phrase used to refer to intellectual suicidal thoughts, or the urge to engage in self-destructive (suicidal) behaviors during everyday life.[1] Examples include thinking about swerving in to the opposite lane while driving, or feeling the urge to jump off a cliff edge while standing on it. These thoughts are not accompanied by emotional distress.   *** All in all though, to me, this is supplemental to the thought process of living life in the most sincere way possible. I believe what Alan Watts is telling us here is more of an exercise for you to be able to obtain that process. I have a personal example that this helped me get to. >The thought of proposing to my beautiful and wonderful girlfriend instilled fear within me for some reason. Why was this a struggle? How was I going to let myself keep standing in the way of something wonderful? Who ever told me it wasn't possible? When was it decided that there was something wrong or forboding about this? >I realized one day that there was absolutely nothing **other than myself** holding me back, so I went and made it happen. I'm now happily engaged and a huge weight was lifted off my chest. Clearly I made a decision, but if you think of every moment as a choice then you'll always be trapped by it. Live life as instinctually as you can and don't be such a robot, Dr_Professor_Robot.

So, basically he's saying there are no such things as bad choices because ultimately the world is the world you get, so do whatever you feel is best. Do it til you just operate entirely on instinct with no stress for the repercussions cause you're just a cloud, brah. Somehow I don't think this is good advice if you're, say, working in a nuclear missile silo. Or an infectious disease lab. Or even if you're just a caretaker for people who get _really_ annoying sometimes. 'Cause some choices _are_ bad. Some choices unambiguously, completely fuck things over. And some choices that are bad are _desirable_. You ever been driving along, and you see those other cars zooming along in the other lane, heading toward you head on and only barely missing, separated by the arbitrary two dimensional image of a double yellow line in the asphault? You ever ponder that and think to yourself, "All I need to do is pull the wheel ever so slightly to one direction, and so many people will die" and find a strange appeal in the idea? You ever look over a cliff and want to jump, look in a lion's cage and want to climb in? It isn't even really truly suicidal ideation, it's just like, a niggling curiosity in the back of your head, a knowledge that you have this terrifying freedom, a pull to make a terrible decision. Yeah. Fuck listening to all your instincts. The human brain is an amazing piece of hardware, but it's still ultimately defective. We still pull along to biases, to emotional blackmail, to insane little ideas and sheer bloody minded stupidity. And the only weapon against that, the only tool we have against our own malfunctioning control centers, is to stop, run the thoughts again, and check them against what data we do have. The only sure thing we have is our doubt, and we most use it. To go through life without considering your choices is to reject the sentience our species has fucked and died for since time immemorial. It's to climb back up into the trees in the savannah and live your life with the bonobos and the chimps. Making choices is stressful, it _sucks_. It fights against that natural flow of things that Watts talks about. It's taking a big dumb stupid cloud and fanning it and lighting fires and throwing up droplets of silver iodide until the cloud flows the way you tell it, so it can bring rain to the farms and shade to the scorching cities, rather than just drifting. It is hard, and painful, and stressful, and sometimes overwhelming. But it can change the world. Because some choices are _good_ choices. Some choices bring light and happiness and make the world unambiguously better. And you can see those choices coming just like the bad ones, if you stop to look. So yeah, you'll be stressed, you'll be in doubt about whether you make the right choices, all the time. But if you make the choice to shoulder that, if you make the choice to harden yourself, to become stronger, and to struggle against the flow of things, then you can shape the world. Jesus this became a thing. Sorry. I only got like three hours of sleep last night, and I _chose_ to take my frustrations out on something remotely productive like a philosophical essay, rather than just masturbating and playing minecraft. ... Which I might choose to do anyway, once I put dinner in the crockpot :P

School of the Bear must have had really badass berserker witchers, probably some of them possessed and controlled the Berserker curse (were-bear). Tall and bearded, it has been speculated that some might have wielded silver and steel axes or throwable mini-axes. School of the Manticore could be the most powerful though.. In-game, manticore gear ends up being the most versatile (complementing Alchemy use and Euphoria more than the rest) and has the greatest weapon in the game; critical Grapeshots. I enjoyed my 3rd playthrough of Hearts of Stone immensely thanks to full Manticore gear. Northern Wind to Grapeshot combo decimated all these mighty HOS bosses!! 2 such bomb combos killed on DeathMarch the Frog-Prince and took good care of the Caretaker. Burst out laughing when Ofieri mage's head leaped 30 feet skywards after I finished him off with that combo.!! Also Manticore has the best looking sword pommels; dat bat-lion head's sick!! Manticores come as the bomb specialists witchers

I'm always curious when I see stuff like this. Who thought this was a good idea? I mean lions killed one of the guys in Vegas, a literal lifetime caretaker of the lion. But sure lets just throw random animals together.

Well for starters he's no trainer, he's simply a caretaker. He's aware that they are wild animal and the consequences it carries. He does it because he can and most likely no one else would take the care of the animals and promote the conservation. Better that than the lion farms they are making for game hunting

Lions rarely would attack a full grown giraffe. The potential for injury (which is obvious) outweighs the benefits of a fresh meal. Lions go for smaller game or sickly animals unless they are desperate. Source: Lion caretaker at a zoo just walked up to me when I was taking pictures and started telling us awesome facts. A more fun fact; to keep lions mentally stimulated in captivity the staff will introduce new objects into the enclosure like a christmas tree with meat attached to the trunk or paper mache zebras with meat on the inside. Non-meat options would be to move boulders around to change up the environment.

AS A MOTHER...(fuck I hate that phrase) but since I became a mom I've noticed my stress tolerance has greatly increased. I was never prone to histrionics and I'm a rather quiet person, some would even say icy or removed. Internally I may be screaming, but I know that falling apart won't get me through *this*, so keep it together and fall apart in private. But since kiddo arrived, I seem to have developed some sort of stress stamina. Shit goes wrong, illness, injury, job problems, family stress, whatever, but I can't internally scream anymore. Kiddo is perceptive and picks up on all sorts of subconscious shit. I have to be centered, calm, and rational in the face of insanity because kiddo's sense of safety depends on that stillness. If I freak out, or even go quite but crumble inside, kiddo will pick up on that instability, and if mom can't keep it together then who will? Yeah dad is there as an oak (for mom), but virtue or fault, mom is the oak in most children's lives. I think women *can* handle stress better *if* they have kids, but only by necessity, and not all women can or want to develop that skill (for whatever reason). But I think the ability to handle stress *better* is predicated on the idea that our (young) offspring is literally dependent on us for everything, so we have to get it together or risk being eaten by a lion or whatever. I think this skill can also to child free women who were thrust into caretaker roles as well (i.e. older sisters raising younger siblings, aunts and grandmothers taking on orphans, etc)

Have you seen videos of whales being rescued from nets and then following the rescue boat doing like dances and stuff? Have you seen the video of a lion getting a nail or something pulled from its paw, roaring and stuff and then licking the caretaker when it comes out? Makes me feel really fucked up to think about that we kill animals with empathy and friendship to eat them.

    > We should also note that because God permits something does not mean that is the desired outcome. The desired outcome of not cleaning up my kid's bedroom is to teach them to clean up after themselves. However, by not cleaning up after them I am also permitting a non-desired outcome that the room remains dirty. The problem with this analogy is that a clean room is a preference and having a few toys on the floor instead of on shelves does not lead to suffering. (although we can get pedantic and talk about that 0.001% chance that someone steps on a Lego and suffers the greatest pain imaginable.) A better analogy would be if you knew there was a danger in your kid's room, like a currently lit fire or a lion, and you still allowed them to go hang out in there. Instead of stopping the danger, or at least stopping your kid from going into the danger, you just allow them to suffer and possibly die. What's more, some suffering is completely the product of the circumstances of one's birthplace, which isn't chosen by the person. It is as if you not just allowed the kid to hang out in a dangerous room, but literally forced the kid to stay in the room and suffer/die. In the real world, you'd be jailed for child abuse. God is so good though for doing effectively the same thing. Permitting a non-desired outcome, especially one that isn't just a preference but leads to suffering and death, when you are in the position of a caretaker, as he is supposed to be our Father, is completely wrong.

[PART ONE] **Man Utd 1 - 2 Man City** Guardiola’s men put on an impressive display to beat their Manchester rivals at Old Trafford in Saturday’s early kick-off. Forget Pacquiao vs Mayweather. Forget The Force Awakens. The hype surrounding this Manchester derby dwarfed even that of last year’s Eastenders Christmas episode. And just like Eastenders, it didn’t disappoint. City came out of the blocks straight away, testing the resolve of Utd’s centre backs Eric Bailly and Daily Grind. The pair have been impressive so far this season, but here they looked as though they had been possessed by the fat kids who were forced to play in defence in your school PE lessons. Conversely, the pitch may as well have been made of Memory Foam for Guardiola’s men, who looked so comfortable on the ball that Nolito later admitted to stealing a quick nap in the first half, the cheeky bastard. It wasn’t long before that stark contrast reared its head. A simple flick-on from Aguero’s replacement Kelechi I’llhavetheNachos into the path of Kevin de Bruyne, who is currently being investigated by police on suspicion of stealing the ball from a Blind man. The albino Belgian finished well, and Man City soon added to their tally when the two men switched roles: KdB’s shot rebounding off the post and falling kindly to I’llhavetheNachos, who duly tapped in. The game looked out of site for Utd, who, except from a trademark 30-yard miss from Pogba, had failed to register an attempt on goal. That all changed when Claudia Bravo - who won a Blue Peter competition to play for Man City earlier this month - fumbled a Wayne Rooney cross into the path of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whose sublime finish offered his team an unexpected lifeline going in at the break. But Pep put the “Guard” in Guardiola, and put on a resilient second half display to keep a much-improved United at bay. A huge win for City. A reality check for United. *My tip: The much transferred in Raheem Pound Sterling was relatively ineffective in this fixture. Kevin De Bruyne played a deeper role but drifted into advanced positions regularly.* **Arsenal 2 - 1 Southampton** Santi Cazorla's 94th minute penalty earned his side three points against a stubborn Southampton side. With wildcards-a-plenty this GW, there was lots of interest surrounding this game: particularly concerning the popular midfield options of Mesut Ozil and Dirty Sanchez. Things didn’t start well, with Sanchez on the bench and Tadic forcing Petr Cech into an own-goal with a first-half free kick. The Serbian - hotly tipped to do something point-worthy eventually - later issued a statement to say he was waiting for every last FPL manager to get rid of him first. Despite Southampton’s rigid defensive organisation, Arsenal’s persistence paid off: first in the form of a spectacular Laurent Koscielny overhead kick - yes, you did read that right - and then by a last gasp Santi Cazorla penalty, after Jose Fonte touched Olivier Giroud’s hair. New signings Mufasa from the Lion King and Perez both started the game, with the latter failing to make a meaningful impact on his debut. Mufasa, meanwhile, seemed at ease in his new surroundings, crediting the centre-circle of life for his composure on the ball. *My tip: Santi Cazorla looks like a cheaper, reliable way into the Arsenal midfield.* **Bournemouth 1 - 0 West Brom** Callum WILSON!’s ingenuitive late finish was enough to earn his side their first win of the new season. With this GW shaping up to be about as pleasant as urinal splashback, West Brom’s defence was beginning to look like our saviour. McAuley - our Messiah in this story - is currently owned by 22% of FPL managers, and looked to be cruising toward yet another clean sheet against a lively Bournemouth side. In addition, 16% of us were probably rubbing our hands together at the prospect of another Foster clean sheet too. More clean sheets than a Travelodge, we thought, kicking back in our chairs and cracking open another beer - like the smug wankers we are. We were wrong. A sublime finish from Callum Wilson was all it took, and our Gameweek went from “pretty piss poor” to “fuck off I don’t want to play this anymore”. “I never liked this game anyway” said long-time FPL fanatic John Wankstone, scratching the tattoo on his forehead of his highest ever rank and fighting back the tears. “I only do it for a laugh” he added, before breaking down. The result is a fantastic one for Bournemouth, and offers up yet another 3rd striker option in Callum Wilson. *My tip: Adam Smith, the Bournemouth full-back and Economist, now has 1 goal and 1 assist to his name. He looks to be a threat going forward.* **Burnley 1 - 1 Hull** Hull’s impressive start to the season continued with a dramatic late equaliser against Burnley from a Snodgrass free kick. In what is probably the most exotic fixture in the Premier League calendar, Burnley and Hull looked to be battling out a gritty but goalless draw on Saturday afternoon. Defour’s 30-yard strike changed the complexion of the game, shifting it from a dead, leathery Mike Phelan-esque complexion to the charming, playful freckles of Sean Dyche’s mush. The match was alive, and if Mike Phelan prefers his football like he prefers his women, this was bad news for the Hull City caretaker. To Phelan’s credit, he managed to steer his side to another point, despite having to tend to Sean Dyche’s personal toilet at half time after the Burnley manager had given birth to last night’s curry. “We call it the Shaun Dyke Steamer in the caretaking trade” explained Phelan in the post-match press conference. “I could barely see for the 2nd half, but I’m happy with the point”. Snodgrass - who scored a hattrick for Scotland during the international break - looks like he’s going to be essential for Hull if they’re to stay up this season. *My tip: Snodgrass could be a fantastic budget midfielder this season, but he may be let down by his team.* **Middlesbrough 1 - 2 Crystal Palace** Crystal Palace won their first game of the season on Saturday and, in doing so, inflicted Middlesbrough’s first defeat of the campaign. Benteke opened the scoring for Crystal Palace in typical Benteke fashion: a powerful header that actually left Victor Valdes without a face. Middlesbrough defender Ayala was not to be out-headed, however, and planted his own face-destroyer to level things up before half time. Palace entered the game at a disadvantage, when it emerged Middlesbrough manager Kawanka had cut the brake cables on Paper Souare’s Ford Escort before the game. The defender, who had to be airlifted onto Alan Pardew’s lap after the accident, has since been comforted by the Crystal Palace manager, who today offered some clarification on the accident. “Paper lost both his legs and a substantial part of his left bum cheek, but other than that he’s fine.” When quizzed about when he might return, Pardew replied “he may be legless, but that still makes him about as good as our other defenders. I expect him to be back in 3 weeks.” A defensive error lead to Palace’s second, with Zahahaha capitalising on Friend’s error at the back. Middlesbrough will learn from this and Palace can take heart from what could well turn out to be an important 3 points in this campaign. *My tip: Zaha looked threatening throughout the match, but Benteke should provide ample coverage for Palace’s attacking options.* **Stoke 0 - 4 Tottenham** Tottenham consolidated their unbeaten start to this season with a ruthless victory over winless Stoke. I don’t know about you, but I had forgotten about Son. No doubt there was 1 FPL-hipster who had him triple captained, but the majority of us were shocked to even see his name on the teamsheet. “Son? Whose Son? Has Harry Kane had kids?” The Korean midfielder buried 2 beautifully taken goals and played a pivotal role in seeing his side dominate their hosts. With so many worried about Kane’s form, owners of the forward will be overjoyed with his performance as he proved, beyond reasonable doubt, that he’s capable of finishing from 3 yards into an empty net. Deli Counter also demonstrated his worth after capping off a stylish team goal before offering a pound of Edam to a hungry Spurs fan. Stoke, meanwhile, looked a shadow of the side that teams have feared to visit for so long. Their woeful performance was perhaps best encapsulated when their manager, Mark Hughes, was dismissed in the first half for rubbing his penis against the 4th official - something that was outlawed last season. Hughes remained defiant that his sending-off had nothing to do with the outcome of the match, despite strong evidence to suggest that Spurs did in fact score 4 goals after he was told to leave. The Potters look to be a team in disarray. Their typically strong defense is about as reliable as a blind watch-maker, and they are probably best avoided until they find some remnant of form. *My tip: Tottenham are firing again… like we need more options.*

"How did they even let that happen? Didn't they try and save themselves?" The driver asked incredulously. "How did a war happen without anyone noticing?" "Remember the temporary reprieve of Nuclear weapons testing for the new generation of Nukes? That was the cover. Like I said, they weren't invincible and governments had a little help in order to block their psychic abilities." The delivery guy couldn't believe what he was hearing. An entire war, betrayal and genocide had happened without anyone being any the wiser. He swallowed hard. Why was he being told this? Surely this was a matter of national, even worldwide security and this guy was prattling on like he was describing what he got up to last Sunday. "Let me guess," The driver swallowed again "you're the caretaker for that help." "Correct. You catch on fast. Please say hello to Zero..." The caretaker opened the door and they walked in to a perfectly white room, the temperature, ambiance and light could only be described as perfectly serene. In the center, hovering gently above a plinth as if underwater, was the figure of a woman in a long, flowing dress, her platinum blonde hair flowed with it. The driver stood in awe while the caretaker stood behind him, almost beaming with pride. "She's beautiful isn't she?" The driver nodded slowly. "She is the most powerful PAI ever encountered. They had to make an entirely new classification for her, hence her name." The driver stood dumbfounded for a while, struggling to wrestle with the equal amounts of serenity, wonder and fear that were racing around his neural pathways. He felt electricity in the air and an absence of weight. But a burgeoning question brought him around. "If they were such a threat to the world, how come she's alive?". The caretaker wondered for a moment. "Because we couldn't kill her." He replied coldly, "And it wasn't for lack of trying." The driver turned away from the divine visage in front of him and fixed the caretaker with a blank stare. "For all intents and purposes, she is a God. Her mastery of time, matter and space is unparalleled. I once saw her atomize a meteor the size of Manhattan in the blink of an eye, she took me for a walk through a nuclear inferno leaving us both unharmed. She had the power to make the other POI's completely oblivious to our plans." "But why would she help you do that? Why would she turn against her own kind? Why aren't WE all dead?" "I honestly don't know. Maybe she saw something in our future to warrant their destruction, maybe she saw something in her own future and decided to defend herself in advance. Maybe she just wanted to be the biggest bitch in the yard..." He trailed off a bit, lost gazing in to nothing in particular... "Or maybe it's because she's my daughter". The delivery guy turned back towards the woman and slowly approached her, slowly outstretching his hand. It's not every day you get to meet a living God. "Please, don't touch her." The caretaker intervened. "After the rest of the powerful PAI's were taken care of and we tried to terminate her, she shut herself out from the rest of the world. Maybe exhausted...maybe distraught. But she hasn't stirred from this state since and we'd like to keep it that way. That's why my job is to make sure she's as undisturbed as possible". The delivery driver stopped, "Then why bring me down here?" He asked. "Not many people know about this place or its importance. Even fewer know about her or what she's done. I don't know what she's doing in there, off exploring the cosmos or creation itself, but if she were to wake and take exception to us there's nothing we could do to stop her. Hopefully she's too busy with the universe to be bothered with us any more. A Lion doesn't concern itself with the affairs of ants... I guess I just needed to tell someone, let someone know the significance of what happened. I guess I'm just a lonely old man who's lost his daughter. The kettle's boiled by now..." The driver took a last gaze at the woman in her ethereal splendor before being enveloped in bright light. He was back in his van driving home. He looked at the time, he'd be back for dinner. Not a bad day, he thought, though he couldn't remember a thing about it.

Well, she can't go back in time. As for the future, it sounds like he's going to have to deal because, as she wrote in her post, she's going to have other priorities for awhile: > We're about to have a baby together. A baby which I'm going to be the primary caretaker for, since he'll continue to work full time while I take my maternity leave. You know what else is a major pain in the butthole, literally? Childbirth. Look up "anal fissures". The point I'm trying to make is that there's no need to offload more work on the OP. She sounds like she does the lion's share in this household. You're also ignoring the point of her post to focus on some picayune detail.

For mobile users, here you go: * First and foremost, the name of the division has changed. No longer do United play in the Barclays Premier League but rather just the Premier League. The logo has changed too - it is now a close-up of a crowned lion - and this is reflected in the patches on the sleeves of the players. * A number of Premier League fixtures will take place on Friday nights. Indeed, the Reds' opening home game on 19 August against Southampton is one of these. For UK viewers, the Saturday teatime slot belongs to BT Sport with Sky Sports showing 126 top-flight games in total. * West Ham United have a new home ground - the London (formerly Olympic) Stadium - while Liverpool are completing a new Main Stand, causing the Merseysiders' first three matches to be played away from Anfield. This will be Tottenham's final campaign at White Hart Lane with United currently scheduled to be the North Londoners' final opponents at the famous venue. Stoke City's home is no longer the Britannia Stadium but rather the Bet365 Stadium. * Several rule changes have taken place - including kick-offs no longer need to be passed forward. Players committing accidental fouls that deny a goalscoring opportunity will now be cautioned rather than sent off, those injured by a challenge punishable by a yellow or red card no longer need to leave the field for treatment and referees can issue red cards from the pre-match pitch inspection onwards. * Referees have the power to send off players who confront or swear at them. Yellow cards can be issued for physical contact of any kind with the official and crowding him following a decision. * In the FA Cup, from the sixth round onwards, clubs will be permitted to make a fourth substitution during extra time. * The League Cup is now known as the English Football League Cup - the semi-finals remain over two legs and United will enter the competition in the third round. * New season, new ball. It's an Ordem 4 and pretty colourful - a mix of green, purple, blue and black. * After the provisional list of shirt numbers was released, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is to wear no.9 with Anthony Martial at 11. Other new boys Eric Bailly (3), Henrikh Mkhitaryan (22) and Paul Pogba (6) have also been allocated their numbers. Of course, the Reds also have unveiled new adidas strips in time for the big kick-off. * Look out for new faces in the opposing dugouts. Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) and Antonio Conte (Chelsea) are two high-profile arrivals into English football for the first time while former United boss David Moyes has replaced Sam Allardyce at Sunderland. Ronald Koeman switched from Southampton to Everton with Claude Puel taking over at the St Mary's helm. Mike Phelan is in caretaker charge at Hull City after fellow ex-Red Steve Bruce left the club. * The club are ensuring a fairer distribution of tickets for away games - a single payment card cannot be used on more than one application. The away match tickets are non-transferable and cannot be passed on to other spectators. * Emergency loans have been scrapped so such moves can only take place during transfer windows. Parent clubs are also no longer able to recall loanees at short notice. * The Under-21 Premier League has been replaced with Premier League 2 - an Under-23 competition. Warren Joyce's Reserves will compete in this division and also the Premier League International Cup.

I was thinking about something like this after the airing of Bismuth. My biggest problem is that the motivation for PD to do something like this -- that could risk her very life and would strip her of her 'ultimate' power -- just isn't there (as far as we know). The only thing I could think of is that if PD was the caretaker of gems (assuming that each diamond had a role as a leader in society, like YD is in charge of the army and BD was a diplomat), maybe she started to realize how poorly they were treating other gems and this upset her? I guess that if PD really wanted to liberate gems, maybe she thought that creating Rose would give the gems a solid leader and distract the Diamond Authority, and she could weaken the DA from the inside -- which ultimately ended with her failing and possibly being shattered (or corrupted. I personally like the idea of PD being Lion, though I don't think that will be canon). Ultimately, I think that Rose might have been another 'perfect' Quartz like Jasper was, but met some humans and became obsessed. Maybe she went to PD and PD didn't oppose the ideals of the rebellion, and helped Rose unlock her 'full potential' or something. I have no idea. Regardless, Rose was an anomaly, and PD obviously did something to enrage the DA so badly that they wiped her out. They're undoubtedly connected somehow. I just don't think we have enough information yet.

Serious answer tho, is that the lion probably doesn't have claws or teeth. They usually do that to circus animals as well, you can see the caretaker put his hand in the mouth of the lion to pull it away, he sure wouldn't do that if the lion had teeth

Well when we ran for our lives and found the zoo person she said that the cheetahs had just arrived from Africa, and we're not socialized yet. The lions couldn't GAF about the fog. All they did was look. The bear- now we were shaking in our boots but we were smart enough to NOW HAVE A GUIDE, the bear stood up then flopped back down cause he didn't GAF, then the guide took us to the wolves. We protested but went on their reassurance (17 yo kid) that we would be fine. Wolves did not care either. The lion caretaker said that the female lion will get routy and upset when a child is on a parents shoulders- go figure. But she said most of the animals had seen several service animals previously except the cheetahs. I will tell you that everywhere we went the animals were staring at US not the other way around and it WAS terrifying. I felt so bad for putting my husband and the damn dog through that, but in all honesty the counselor who we talked to after the event said r was good practice for my husband to use his coping tools. Needless to say trying to get him back to the zoo is like pulling teeth- we have yet to go but he promises he will try again. This time we know the zoo and process Better

My favourite comic story that involves politics is Tower of Babel, at the start Ra's Al Ghul has someone looking after the two last living lion sub-species but that caretaker kills one of them accidentally. Ra's al Ghul then decides to kill billions of humans around the world. This story actually made me think quite long and hard about how humans treat nature and I sort of agreed with Ra's, human are ruining a lot of the earth but he also tries to murder billions of humans so he was a despicable man and shows the world isn't black and white, for me it was just an incredible story.

Well there is a difference. The guy who jumped in was a complete dumbass to say the least, but once a lion has tasted a human it has to be put down because it will not be able to distinguish caretaker from food anymore. Since a gorilla's main diet doesn't even consist of meat the gorilla wouldn't have been the same kind of threat to humans if something happened to the kid.

    > once a lion has tasted a human it has to be put down because it will not be able to distinguish caretaker from food anymore. This is one of those things that sounds fake. Isn't it an obedience problem more a "TASTE FOR MAN-FLESH" thing? Lions eat animals. We are animals. There's no way they don't already know we're made of meat.

Well, I'm not sure I'm seeing a big conspiracy here on the part of the zoo. If it gets the lions leaping to the amazement of zoo guests behind plexiglass... is that a bad thing? The lions seem to love it. The lion-caretaker seems to love it. And I'm sure the zoo guests behind the plexiglass like it too.
